The Weekly Playlist (I)

Music is a very big part of my life, I listen to music every-single-day. It might sound extreme, but I really don't think I could live without music, it just helps me in so many ways and can affect or change my mood so easily. I like to listen to a huge variety of styles, it just depends on the day, maybe one day I wake up and I just want to listen to all the rock classics from the 80s and the next day I want to listen to the latest Drake album. Seriously. That is why I decided to share with you my love for music, providing you a new music playlist created by yours truly each week. You are so welcome (unless you don't like my music taste, if that is the case,  I'm sorry).

This week's playlist will take you on a journey from the late 70s with two classics by Supertramp and also a little bit of Bob Dylan, going through a Pulp Fiction moment with the song ''Girl, you'll be  women soon'' by Urge Overkill, to some lovely indie-rock songs and ballads of the last few years. There is also a lot of other great songs in this playlist (actually they are al great), but I want you to be surprised.

What is your favourite song of the week? I'd love to know.

The only jacket you will need this Autumn

Jackets are my favourite clothing piece of all, if it were for me, I would only buy cool jackets and then just wear a white t-shirt, jeans and a nice pair of shoes. I always want to buy new ones but my mum has banned me from buying any, even with my own money, because ''I have too many''- I really don't have that many. If I'm honest, I can understand her a little because jackets and coats are usually the most expensive pieces in shops. She always says: ''You should buy more shirts and t-shirts, Julia!'', but I'm never that attracted to them, unless they have a really interesting detail or graphic.

You can't deny me that a cool jacket can make a ''You look ok...'' outfit to a ''Dang, you look good!'' outfit. Am I right?

My all time favourite style of jacket is the biker jacket (also known as the ''perfecto'' jacket) and I really think that if there is a piece of clothing you should invest in, it definitely has to be this one, you won't be disappointed.

It's a timeless shape that comes back every single season, it's really versatile and comes in a huge variety of fabrics, colours and finishes, depending in the material it can make your outfit look super sophisticated (suede) or very edgy (leather). That's why in the selection I've gathered for you Today includes variations within the style, which can maybe adapt better to your personal style. I've also included cheap and expensive options so whatever your budget is, you can still afford one.

Here you have my picks...

Button-front-skirt-mania

You know what kind of skirt I'm talking about, the skirt which you've seen every single fashion blogger, it girl, celebrity and their mother wear. The skirt you see in every-single-shop you go and it's confusing your mind because you don't know if you absolutely love it or you hate it, maybe the buttons have hypnotized you - I just can't write a post without saying something weird, can't I.

Anyway, you know what skirt I mean.

Personally I absolutely love them, although if I'm honest, when I first saw one, I wasn't as sure, but the more times I saw it styled in so many different ways I liked it better and better. You can find them in denim and in suede and I think they are very flattering either ways as it has an A-line shape. The denim version is perfect for casual looks but can really be dressed up and the suede version is just super chic, but you can also dress it down, it's all about finding the right balance. That's why I decided to put together some of my favourite Street Style outfits which are including this skirt, so if you are planning on buying one (or not), you can have some ideas of how you could wear it. Also I've done some research in the online shops to find the best offers depending on your budget, because ain't nobody (and by nobody I mean me) has thousands of euros to buy a skirt.

Let's get inspired...

My Green Smoothie Recipe (Little Brother Approved)

Hello lovely people!
2015 is here and we all know what a new year means: Resolutions. And we all now what we mean by resolutions: Eat healthier, do more exercise, drink more water, sleep more, bla bla bla... But let's be real here, we've just finished the first month of this new year so... how many of you have sticked to your resolutions? No one raises hands but one or two people (ugh lucky you). January is a month which is meant to failure not for an apparent reason really, just for human nature, so this year I decided to start my resolutions on February, to be exact, on the 3rd of February because I just can't start my resolutions on the first day of the month, don't know why (yes I do, I'm just lazy, but don't tell anyone shhh)... To start my ''health related'' resolutions I started by getting on the trend of the green smoothies, creating my one-of-a-kind recipe which, thankfully and surprisingly, came out pretty delicious, so I thought it would be fair to share it with all of you.

THE GREEN SMOOTHIE RECIPE

1 cup of spinach
A small celery stalk
A frozen banana
A green apple
1 cup of water
1tsp. of chia seeds (you know you are doing it right when there are chia seeds...)
Optional: add a little, by little I mean tiny, bit of ginger for an extra boost

(My little brother tried it and liked it, so it's officially approved now)

Questions of the day: What are your new year's resolutions? Do you stick to them?

Love, Julia x
